Judging Day

We had a great lesson today.
Our three judges came to visit the class to decide which 3 students have won the tuckshop voucher prizes.
We had a group talk at the start of the class to brainstorm ideas about what the judging criteria could be. We than had a vote to decide on the three criteria that the judges were going to use to judge the finished boxes.
These were - the quality of the finger joint, the fit of the lid and the finish of the handle.

Here are the three winners, with their boxes.

Here are the rest of the photos from the judging.
It was a difficult job for the judges as there was some very good work and some of the points were really close.

Looking Good....

The wood boxes are looking great. The lids are made and the sides are getting coats of oil to make the wood look lovely.
They just need the design put on the centre of the lid and we are nearly finished!!
